My Police Dream

            Have you gotten an experience of joining a national selection or national test? When did you get it? Talking about these kinds of question, I have a nice experience that I want to share with you. It is about my experience when I joined a national police test in 2013. At that time, I decided to join it because I wanted to follow my uncle occupation as a police. I was inspired by him because I liked that he had a nice charisma and authority in his occupation as a police. Besides that, I also viewed that his salary as a police was good enough, in which he got five million rupiahs per month. In addition, he also got some additional subsidies, like life insurance, family subsidy, health subsidy, food subsidy, etc. Thus, from viewing the life of my beloved uncle as a police that was good enough, I was interested to join the national police selection 2013.

            The first action that I did for joining the national police selection, mainly I asked a permit for my parents to permit me for joining the police selection. At that time, my parents were very supporting me to join the police test. It was because they knew that I was very interested about it. In addition, they also viewed that I was appropriate to become a police because they realized that I had an ideal body posture to become a police. Furthermore, they also supported me to join the police test because they knew that I had an experience as PASKIBRAKA of Gianyar Regency; PASKIBRAKA was a kind of group that got military training for fluttering Indonesian flag in national ceremony of Indonesian freedom. Moreover, they also supported me to join the police test because they knew that I loved doing sport. Thus, asking a permit to my parents was very important to me for giving a support in joining the police national test.

            In giving a nice feedback to my parents who supported me so much, I tried to prepare myself as best as I could for being ready to face the police national selection. The first preparation that I did, mainly preparing the psycho-test and academic test. In these preparing, I bought such books that contained psycho and academic test of police test. Fortunately, I could buy it in the book shop in Denpasar Regency. I learned it every day, once in the early morning, and once before going to sleep. The second preparation that I did mainly, prepared physical test. For the preparation of physical test, I practiced to run around the side of the football yard in seven times in time allotment of twelve minutes; continued by practicing push-up around forty five in one minute, continued by practicing to pull up in twelve times in one minute, and continued by practicing to run zigzag around seven times in one minute. I always practiced these kinds of physical test every day; once in the morning and once in the evening. In addition, I also did another practice of physical test, mainly practiced swimming around twenty five meters. At that time, it was actually my first time to experience practicing swimming. I practiced it in a swimming course in Klungkung Regency; and fortunately in that first training I could swim around twenty meters. However, that ability should be increased for reaching the standard target of swimming that was around twenty five meters. Therefore, there were some preparation that I did for facing the national police test, mainly the preparation of psycho test, academic test, and physical test.

            The day of the real police test was coming. The first test that I joined, mainly joining a test of checking the document completeness of police test registration. I went to POLRES (unit police of regency) in Gianyar for joining this test; and fortunately I passed this test. The second test that I joined, mainly joining a test of checking health in POLDA Bali (unit police of province) in Depasar; and fortunately I also passed this test. The third and fourth test that I joined, mainly joining the psycho test and the academic test. Due to I had learned the book of psycho and academic test of police test, I could answer the question quickly enough; and fortunately I also had passed both of those tests. The final test that was joined mainly the physical test. This test was one of strained test for me because I should try to prove my hard work of my physical practice. Fortunately, in this test I passed on running around of the side football yard in seven times in time allotment of twelve minutes, passed on doing push-up in standard of forty five in one minute, passed on doing pull-up in standard of twelve times in one minute, and passed on running zigzag in standard of seven times in one minute. However, unfortunately, I did not pass in the last test, that was, swimming test. I just could swim in twenty meters, in which I could not reach the standard target of swimming in twenty five meters. Due to I did not pass in this test, it made me fallen in my police test. I regretted my wrong that I did not prepare myself to practice swimming intensively and seriously in a long day before joining the police test. Thus, in my real police test, I was happy because I had passed some tests, but unfortunately I could not pass on my swimming test that gave the effect which I could not pass all stages of my police test.

            In conclusion, I was interested to join the national police selection 2013 because I want to follow my uncle’s occupation as the police; in which in his occupation, I viewed that he had a life that was good enough. I continued to make my dream real for being a police by asking a permit to my parents in order to give me supporting for joining the police national test. Fortunately, they were very enthusiastic to support me joining the national police test. For giving a nice feedback to my parents who supported me so much; I did some preparation as best as I could for facing the police test. I did some preparations, mainly the preparation of psycho test, academic test, and physical test. In my real police test, I was happy because I had passed some tests. However, unfortunately in last result I could not pass my police test because I could pass my swimming test that gave me the effect of being fallen in my police test so.
